Recently, an animal shelter in Michigan held an adoption day, and many people came to adopt pets. Every single animal was adopted – except for one. This was a Labrador-Retriever named Eastwood. He was alone in the cold when the shelter found him. He was born with a leg deformation and his vision is not so great. It was thought that whoever adopted him would need to pay $4,000 for surgery for Eastwood. When Stan Van Gundy, the Pistons basketball team’s head coach, found out about this, he decided to adopt Eastwood. He and Eastwood have been very happy together so far! If you are considering adopting a dog from a local shelter, this would be a great thing to do!
