Hello Falcons! For this weeks edition of crafty corner, I have some fun spring DIYs. The DIYs include edible flower popsicles, washi tape cords, and slime. The edible flower popsicles and washi tape cords are DIYs found at : https://www.buzzfeed.com/peggy/irresistibly-spring-diys?utm_term=.qibE8kqvP#.iaDlRQgm7

The slime recipe is a recipe found on the internet that I have modified.

 

Edible Flower Popsicles:

  1. What you will need:
    1. Popsicle molds
    2. Popsicle base (ex: juice or soda)
    3. Edible flowers
  2. Make the popsicles
    1. Pour your base into the popsicle molds
    2. Add the edible flowers
    3. Freeze the molds until the popsicles are solid
    4. Enjoy!

 

Decorate Electrical Cords:

  1. What you will need:
    1. Phone charger, earbuds, etc.
    2. Washi tape
  2. Decorate
    1. Cover your electrical cords with washi tape (get creative)

 

Slime:

  1. What you need
    1. PVA glue
    2. Shaving foam
    3. Lotion
    4. Food coloring
    5. Glitter
    6. Borax and hot water
  2. Instructions
    1. Mix 1 cup of PVA glue with 1 cup fo shaving foam
    2. Mix until well combined
    3. Add lotion (use lotion with a scent to give the slime a smell)
    4. Mix in food coloring (optional)
    5. Add glitter (optional
    6. Mix ½ teaspoon of borax with 1 cup of hot water.
    7. Add the borax mixture 1 teaspoon at a time to the glue mixture. Stir after each addition. (* If you add too much, the slime will be rubbery)
