New iPhone 8
Recently, Apple came out with the iPhone 8 along with the iPhone 8 plus and the iPhone X. Here are some questions that I asked a worker at AT&T in Pasadena regarding the iPhone 8 and what the phone has:
- What is different about the iPhone 8?
Some of the major differences is the design. It is all glass and the camera has a portrait mode with portrait lighting on the front camera and it has wireless charging. It has a A11 biochip which is the most powerful chip created in a smart phone. This increases battery life and the glass is the most durable glass ever in a smartphone.
- Is the iPhone 8 worth the money it costs?
If you are going to take advantage of all the extras like the wireless charger, more memory, if you are a big gamer it has new games. If you are in the same room as other people playing the same game you can more the phone around to see the whole game.
- Does it have a more advanced screen?
Yes, the Retina HD display which is better phot capabilities.
- Do you think it will be more popular than the other iPhones? Why?
The biggest launch the iPhone put out was the 6 and 6plus. The iPhone 10 will probably be the most popular. The biggest thing they’ve done is the face recognition. The iPhone X is probably going to be the biggest deal.
- Does it have a headphone jack?
It does not have a headphone jack.
- Are there going to be programs available for only the iPhone 8?
Yes. The augmented reality in the App Store are going to be specific to the 8.
So there are some things I learned about the new iPhone 8. What I also learned is that the iPhone 8 is water, splash, and dust resistant. The iPhone also has wireless charging which allows the phone to charge without plugging the phone in even if you have a case on the phone, the camera is larger and faster, and you can take better videos which now has up to 60 frames per second. Portrait mode is added to the iPhone 8 plus as well as the 7 plus which adds portrait lighting. The new camera adds better lighting and spotlight effects. The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus are ready to order and are shipping out at the end of the month which come in three colors: Space Gray, silver, and gold. The iPhone X which adds facial recognition and the ability to make talking emojis is ready to order on Friday, October 27.
