For the past months students that have joined speech and debate meet up every Thursdays after school to prepare for the competition on December first. For debate, round one is on November 30. If the participants get enough points they competitive the next day. The topic for debate was, should college athletes be paid or not. Speech only competes on December first. The winners of the debate were Mark Valenzuela and Georgio Maroun from 8A and 8B. The winner of Speech was Luna Ruiz from 8B. The winners will be announced at Monday’s assembly in front the whole school on December 4.
