NFL Playoffs

Last week the NFL playoffs started with two wild card games featuring the Atlanta Falcons playing the Los Angeles Rams,  the Tennessee Titans playing the Kansas City Chiefs, the Jacksonville Jaguars playing the Buffalo Bills, and the New Orleans Saints playing the Carolina Panthers. The Los Angeles Rams have made their first playoff appearance since 2004, while the Falcons looked to bounce back after losing last year’s Super Bowl to the New England Patriots 34-28. In this game the Falcons dominated and won 26-13. The Titans were expected to lose against the Chiefs and were losing 21-0 at halftime, but came back and won 22-21! In the AFC the Jaguars beat the Bills 10-3 after a game winning interception by cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The New Orleans Saints beat the Carolina Panthers 31-26. In the Divisional round the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles played, the Titans and New England Patriots played, the Jaguars and Steelers played, and the Saints and Minnesota Vikings played. The Atlanta Falcons battled hard against the Philadelphia Eagles but lost 15-10. In the beginning of the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans game was close but in the second quarter the Patriots took a 21 point lead and won 35-14. In the Jaguars and Steelers game the Jaguars were winning 21-0 at one point but the Steelers fought back but fell short 45-42. In the Saints and Vikings game the Vikings were leading by 17 and in most of the game due to their great defense. The Saints scored a field goal and took a 1 point lead with 25 seconds left. The Vikings responded with a 61 yard touchdown pass with 0 seconds left on the clock and won 29-24. This year’s playoffs have been very exciting and there is much more to come.
