Students at Saint Philip always get to go on very fun field trips, and always seem to learn a lot. The fourth grade students will be going hiking near Sherman Oaks with guides from Tree People, where they will be split into groups, and be taken on a hike throughout the area. The point of this field trip is for the students to learn about the local habitat and ways to conserve the environment. They will also have the opportunity to take home and plant their own seedlings, which will all hopefully turn into large trees one day.  This field trip is a fun way of learning something outside of the classroom, and it also involves getting some exercise, while learning at the same time. All of the past classes that have gone, have really enjoyed it, and always learn a lot about ways to conserve the environment. I asked Mimi Vanis in 4A if she is excited about the field trip, and she said that she is very excited to learn something new, while being outside. Overall the fourth graders are really excited to go on this field trip, and they should all really enjoy this great experience.

My 4th Grader is growing her new tree, and was excited to see it sprout this week. We appreciate all the unique and different field trips our kids enjoy.
