The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan is the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series. We join Jason, Piper and Leo on their journey to save Piper’s dad from an Ancient Greek giant. They travel on their quest on a celestial bronze dragon, restored by Leo, son of Hephaestus. They’re led by Jason, son of Jupiter. Then we have Piper, daughter of Aphrodite, but she’s not afraid challenges ahead. These three demigods will arrive at the famous Camp Half-Blood, while Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson and the Olympians is searching for a missing camper. That camper is, none other than, Percy Jackson. I recommend this book to 6-8 graders.
