You would think that a tiny, fluffy dog would be cute and cuddly, yet mine isn’t. He’s super lazy too. He just sits, eats, and sleeps all day without a care in the world.

“Hey! Do you want to play fetch?” I asked once.

He looked up, boredom in his eyes, “Why would I want to do that?”

“Cause it’s fun!” I said with so much forced enthusiasm.

“Ha! Fun, now that’s funny,” he said laying his head down to sleep again.

“Lazy lump!”

He didn’t respond after that, because he already fell asleep.

Another time, I wondered if he wanted to go outside, because he was at the door. Sitting there crying and wailing.

“Want to go outside?” I asked

“No, of course not. I wouldn’t be at the door if I wanted too.”

“Ha, ha! You’re so funny,” my lips were in a thin smile and I could feel my brow twitching.

I grabbed his leash and then he decides it would be fun to run away to grab a toy. One that he’s just going to leave at the doorstep once we get outside.

“What are you doing?”

“Grabbing necessities, now put on my leash, I want to go outside,” he said through a mouth holding a limp toy.

“So bossy, aren’t ya’? ” I said putting on his leash.

When we finally got outside, he dropped the toy on the steps of our porch and walked away. So much for necessities, I thought looking down at it.

We walked a couple of steps before he turned around to go back home, leaving the toy on the steps as he walked inside.
