A Wind in the Door

A Wind in the Door

A Wind in the Door is a science fiction novel by Madeleine L’Engle. A Wind in the Door is the sequel to the Newberry Award Winner, A Wrinkle in Time. This time, teenager Meg Murray is once again worried about her brother, Charles Wallace, a 6-year-old genius. Something is wrong with Charles Wallace’s mitochondria, a part of his cells. Charles’ mitochondria are being destroyed by Echthroi, dark forces in the solar system. Meg teams up with her friend, Calvin O’Keefe, to defeat Echthroi and to fix Charles’ mitochondria. They have to go through a series of tests, which are guided by their teacher, Blajeny. Join Meg and Calvin as they fight the Echthroi and attempt to restore Charles Wallace back to normal! I liked this book, even though it was complicated and could be confusing at times. But it’s a great sequel to A Wrinkle in Time, so if you liked that one, you will like this one too!
