NBA Trade Reviews

NBA+Trade+Reviews

Every year during the NBA season some teams trade away some of their players for others. This year the NBA trade deadline was moved to 10 days earlier than last year because a trade occurred during the all-star game. This year there weren’t a lot of trades until the day of the deadline where early in the morning the Cleveland Cavaliers made 3 trades. The Cleveland Cavaliers traded 2 timeĀ all star point guard Isaiah Thomas and forward Channing Frye and a first-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson. The Cavaliers also traded Dwayne Wade a 12-time all-star back to the Miami Heat for a second-round pick. The final trade for the Cavaliers involved two other teams the Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings. The Cavaliers traded Iman Shumpert to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for George Hill. The Cavaliers also sent former MVP guard Derrick Rose and Jae Crowder to the Utah Jazz for Rodney Hood. Overall the Cavaliers benefit from this trade because of the youth and athleticism of the players they acquired. A trade that happened early in the trade deadline week involved the Los Angeles Clippers sending their superstar forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons for guard Avery Bradley and forward Tobias Harris. Another trade involved the New Orlean Pelicans and the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls traded away Nikola Mirotic for a first-round pick. The final major trade involved the Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns. The Magic sent away guard Elfrid Payton to the Suns for a second-round pick. There were a few minor trades that involved young players. This NBA season has been exciting and there is much more to come.
