On Friday, March 2nd we celebrate Dr. Seuss Day. This day celebrates the writer, poet, and cartoonist, Dr. Seuss. He wrote many well-known story books such as The Cat and the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Oh the Places You’ll Go, and many more. On March 2nd, many participate in fun activities to remember Dr. Seuss’s life. Such as, dressing up as characters from the author’s books, eating meals made in the book, like green eggs and ham, reading stories all day long, and overall having a fun, colorful day, just like in Dr. Seuss’s stories.

At St. Philips, some of the teachers enjoy celebrating Dr. Seuss Day by reading his various books or having their students read the fun stories to younger students. This year, Mrs. Bello along as Mrs. Webster have said that they will have their 8th grade/4th grade students read to a kindergarten class.
