Sheila Rae the Brave is a fictional story written by Kevin Henkes, In the story, the main character, a mouse named Sheila, is so brave. She is not afraid of the dark, spiders, thunder and lightning, or anything else. Everyone greatly admired Sheila Rae for her bravery. One day, Sheila Rae decides to make a journey through her neighborhood. When her little sister is too afraid to join her, Sheila Rae calls her a baby and a scardy cat. She heads out around the neighborhood, when secretly her little sister is tagging along, quietly, and carefully. Sheila Rae is so confident when suddenly she gets lost. She gets scared, and wishes her sister was with her. She then began to cry. Just then, her sister pops out from the bushes and tells her she knows the way home, Sheila Rae is so happy she allows her sister to lead the way home and be the brave one. In the end, the siblings are content and grateful for each other.  This book teaches a great lesson and is perfect to read to little kids or perform in the speech storytelling category. Overall I give this book four out of five stars and would recommend you all read it!
