Rams Trades

Last week the Los Angeles Rams traded for a young but feisty cornerback. The Kansas City Chiefs have sent cornerback Marcus Peters to the Rams for a 2018 4th round pick and a 2019 2nd round pick. The Chiefs traded away Peters for his character. Last season, Peters was flagged and ejected many times last year. Peter’s character is what concerns both teams the most. This trade might not make a lot of sense to fans around the league but here is why the Rams did it. The Rams must re-sign CB Trumaine Johnson, S Lamarcus Joyner, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, and S Kayvon Webster. If the Rams did not make this trade they would have to resign all of their cornerbacks, which would not be an easy task. The Rams recently traded Robert Quinn, a former 1st round pick. The Rams sent the linebacker to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2018 4th round pick and a 2018 6th round pick. In my opinion I think both of these trades will benefit both teams. The Chiefs will benefit because they are rebuilding a new young team and the two draft picks will help with that. Since this trade the Rams have made some big offseason moves. The Rams traded their two starting linebackers Alec Ogletree and Robert Quinn to the Dolphins and Giants. In my opinion these two trades are good because the Rams will not have to spend a lot of money on these players and will receive more draft picks. Another shocking trade was the Denver Broncos sending pro bowl cornerback to the Rams for a 2018 5th round pick. The Rams have also signed pro bowl cornerback Sam Shields. In my opinion I believe the Rams are trying to be legit Super Bowl contenders, and with these additions I believe they will be a contender. This offseason has already been exciting and there is much more to come.
