On the day of selection Sunday, the teams were announced by alphabetical order. Now that the tournament has officially started UCLA and Arizona state have been eliminated. The round of 64 started off with a bang. (7) Rhode Island and (10) Oklahoma faced each other in a crazy game. Oklahoma was led by freshman phenomenon Trae Young who had 28 points but was not enough and lost in double overtime. As expected (1) Kansas dominated (16) Penn and won by 16 points. (3) Tennessee also dominated over (14) Wright State and won 73-47. (2) Duke, (4) Gonzaga, and (5) Ohio State. The Game of the day had to be (6) Miami vs (11) Loyola Chicago. The game went back and forth, but Miami had a one point lead with 11 seconds left, but Loyola Chicago ran the ball up the floor and scored a 3 which won them the game.
This tournament has already been exciting and there is much more to come. w
