The Adoration of Jenna Fox: Book Review
The Adoration of Jenna Fox: Book Review
Mary E. Peterson’s The Adoration of Jenna Fox is a wonderful science fiction novel for readers around the age of 13 and older. The book is about a girl named Jenna Fox who lives in a semi-dystopian futuristic California and has woken up from a coma that lasted for a year. Jenna was in an accident and was fatally injured, which lead to her slipping into a coma. Nothing seems right to Jenna; she can’t walk or use her hands correctly. She can’t remember certain words, but can remember full verbatim paragraphs from books. She remembers random things from long ago, but doesn’t remember any friends or what school she went to. Jenna is confronted by sneaking suspicions about her parents and why they won’t mention anything about the accident. Will Jenna ever return to the life she had before, or will she remain unfinished and confused forever? Read to find out.
My thoughts on the book
I thought that the book was amazing; full of plot twists and imagination. You get an eerie feeling when reading that just takes you to a whole different world. I would definitely read the rest of The Jenna Fox Chronicles and more from this author.
