Last Wednesday, August 22 was Meet the Teacher Day. Meet the Teacher Day is very important for the students to 

meet the teachers that they will be learning within the upcoming school year and to see the classroom that they will spend their time in. This year’s Meet the Teacher day was also important for the eighth graders to get their sweatshirts for the first time. This Meet the Teacher Day, I went around the school and looked at the classrooms preparing for new students. The two kindergarten rooms were very decorated for the incoming kindergarteners who were with their parents meeting the teachers. The kindergartners were not ready to talk, but I’m sure
they were very excited about the upcoming school year. The kindergarteners were all meeting their new teachers for the first time with their parents. Up in Junior High, the new sixth graders were meeting their teachers and viewing all the rooms that they will be learning in. Sra. Cross’s room was also decorated very well for the new year and new students. A few doors over, the eighth graders were preparing for their last year at Saint Philip and getting their eighth grade sweatshirts for the first time on Meet the Teacher Day. Many of the eighth graders were excited to get their sweatshirts before the first day of school and were also very excited for their eighth-grade year at Saint Philip the Apostle School. I am very glad that everyone was excited about the new school year and I hope everyone has a great year at Saint Philip the Apostle School!
