One of our St. Philip graduates, Mateo Alfonso, was at the Emmys. He says that “I loved the environment of being there and I thought it was a great year. I got to see a lot of amazing people and I overall loved it”. Personally, He hoped for Brandon Dixon Victor to win an award this year, as “…he completely stole the show”, in Jesus Christ Superstar. He also would’ve liked  Yvonne Strahovski to win an award, “for her performance in Handmaid’s Tale”. A show Mateo Alfonso would’ve like to be nominated is Mr. Robot, a show available on Amazon Prime. He also wanted Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to be nominated, which in fact, did, and he was, “very happy about that”, he says.
