Birdcage Fairy Lights With Crows

Today I’ll be showing you how to make beautiful birdcage fairy lights that have crows in them. They’re fun to make and can decorate many places in your home!

Materials:

1 piece of black cardstock

1 package of birdcage fairy lights OR 1 package of plain fairy lights

1 package of wire wrapping (If using plain fairy lights)

1 pair of scissors

1 hot glue gun

1 package of glue for the glue gun

1 printer with paper

Instructions:

Note: When using the hot glue gun, have an adult do it for you if you don’t know how to use one.

  1. Bend, cut, and glue wrapping wire into a bird cage.
  2. Repeat until you have the same amount as the number of lights. (Such as 9 lights, 9 birdcages)
  3. Glue the birdcages over the lights.
  4. Print out a picture of a crow’s silhouette that’ll fit into your birdcage.
  5. Cut cardstock to (or more to alternate) make a bottom for the cage, but don’t glue it yet!
  6. Cut out the crow’s silhouette(s) and cut around the silhouettes on cardstock.
  7. Glue the bird onto the bottom of the cage.
  8. Glue the bottom of the cage onto the sides.
  9. Repeat steps 6-8 until all of the birdcages have a bottom on them.
