Settebello Review


Pizza is one of America’s (and my!) favorite foods. It can be employed in many different situations due to its diversity. There are many different places to go for pizza, and one of my favorites is Settebello. They serve Napoletana pizza, which is made with a very soft dough. Their website states, “Pizza in Napoli is soft and foldable and can be considered ‘wet’ by American standards, for this reason the people in Napoli generally eat their pizza with a knife and a fork.” Napoletana pizza also features some char spots on the dough/crust, which adds to the overall diversity of the flavors of the pizza. My favorite pizza at Settebello is the Pizza Carbonara, which features crushed tomatoes, pancetta, egg, mozzarella, cracked pepper, and olive oil. I really enjoy this pizza because the light and airy taste of the pancetta and the egg perfectly balance out the acidity of the tomatoes. Some other great pizzas at Settebello are the margherita and quattro formaggi (four cheese) pizzas. I would recommend Settebello for anyone who is looking for a delicious and non-traditional pizza.
