On January sixth, the annual Golden Globes were hosted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony was filled with surprises and victories. For starters, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ beat out the highly rated ‘A Star is Born’ for best drama. Another award for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, actor Rami Malek won the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a motion picture, drama. Then a favorite movie amongst critics, ‘The Favourite’, had an actress, Olivia Colman, that won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. Other than awards, the awards show consisted of some star-studded appearances as well. For example, pop star Taylor Swift came to the Golden Globes in support of her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who was in ‘The Favourite’. Swift presented two awards, one of them being Best Original Song, Motion Picture to the movie ‘A Star is Born’ with the song ‘Shallow’. ‘A Star is Born’ starred Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
