Hi Falcons! Back in the 1980s a famous book by S.E. Hinton called “The Outsiders” appeared on the big screens for the first time. The story is about the importance of staying true to yourself and loving others, even though times may be rough. The main character, Ponyboy Curtis is a brilliant and avid poet but is never at peace with himself between the rivalry of his gang and the high-class townspeople, the death of his parents, and the complications between him and his older brother Darrell. As the story progresses, Ponyboy and his best friend Johnny encounter many struggles that force them to run away and disguise themselves to keep everyone safe. This journey helps them learn more about themselves and strengthens their friendship.
Personally, I think that this is one of my favorite movies (and books). I love everything from the soundtrack to the mood created by the characters’ personalities. If I were to rate this movie, I’d give it five stars for the impact it leaves on me. However, this is my opinion; you should read the book and see the movie to develop your own.
