‘Hello Dolly’ is a musical by Michael Stewart that I went to go see with Drama Club at the Pantages Theater. As long as I have been in Drama Club, we have always been on field trips to the Pantages to see various productions. I recall seeing ‘Cinderella’, ‘Hamilton’, ‘The King and I’, and many others with Drama Club. ‘Hello Dolly’ is about a widowed matchmaker named Dolly who is trying to get a rich man to propose to her and also have the rich man approve the marriage of his niece, who is in a relationship with a man Dolly set her up with. The story also follows the adventure of the rich man’s employees enjoying a day in New York with no money, trying to find wives. The musical has intricate dance numbers and catchy songs. The show was great and I would definitely see it again.
