Good Biographies for Junior High

Hey Falcons! I know Junior High students have a reading tracker due soon so I thought this list of good biographies would be helpful if you do not know what to read.

  1. I Am Malala: This is an autobiography written by Malala Yousafzai and how she and many other girls fought to get an education. She impacted many fights for girls’ education across the world.
  2. Steve Jobs: The Man Who Thought Different: This is a biography written by Karen Blumenthal. Steve Jobs lived a very interesting life and was the creator of Apple.
  3. Freedom Train: This is a biography written by Dorothy Sterling about the life of the Underground Railroad operator, Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman is a very important person in slavery movements and I strongly recommend reading this book!
  4. Unbroken: This is a biography written by Lauren Hillenbrand about an Olympian who goes on an unforgettable and life-changing experience during World War ॥.
  5. Brown Girl Dreaming: This an autobiography written by Jacqueline Woodson and is about her life growing up as an African American girl. I have read this book and I really enjoyed how it was written in poetry verses. I would strongly recommend this book!

There are so many more great biographies to read. I hope this list helped you find one to read! Keep reading Falcons!
