This week’s 3-5th Reader’s Corner is Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. Out of My Mind is about an 11-year-old girl named Melody who has a photographic memory. Melody is the smartest person in her school… but nobody knows it because she can’t talk, write, or walk. Melody and her family discover something that can help her communicate. This will give Melody a voice so she will not feel trapped within her own mind! I would really recommend this book. It is a great coming of age novel and well written.
