WARNING- THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! I recently went to go see the new movie Avengers End Game with some friends, and we all enjoyed it. Over the course of the movie, the team of Avengers that is left uncovers the secret to saving their loved ones. It’s important to remember that in the last movie, Thanos made half of the population disappear. Some of the Avengers that are left are Iron Man, Captain America, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, The Hulk, and Falcon. The Avengers set out on a quest to save the population, and they succeed. In the big fight scene, all the new and less popular Avengers appear from the halfway world they were in and help fight Thanos. Of course, the Avengers win the battle, but not without a few sacrifices. My favorite Avengers are Black Widow and Captain America, so I wasn’t too happy with the ending. In the final fight scene, Captain America faces Thanos and puts on the glove with the infinity stones. He then snaps his fingers and brings everyone back. However, when he snaps his fingers the power of the glove overtakes him and Iron Man suffers a heroic death. In addition, Black Widow throws herself over a cliff in order the let Hawkeye achieve the infinity stone. Black Widow says this is because the Avengers have been her family when no one else was, and Hawkeye still has a family to return to. The other sad death is Captain America. Captain America goes back in time to put the infinity stones back, and when he comes back he is an old man. He tells Falcon that he wanted to stay and live a normal life, and passes his shield over to Falcon. It can be argued that Steve Rogers never truly dies in this movie, but it is the death of a character, Captain America. Thor becomes a member of Guardians of the Galaxy, and will no longer be an Avenger. Because of this, none of the original Avengers are left except for The Hulk and Falcon. Although some Avengers remain like Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther, none of them are the original Avengers. I don’t believe Marvel had any reason to kill off the Avengers, and I don’t think it should have happened. I do think this was a fantastic movie and would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch it.
