This week’s book is The Hula Hoopin’ Queen by Thelma Lynne Godin. I really enjoyed this book because it provides a unique perspective on hula hooping and the schoolyard in general. Readers get to follow the story of two young girls who both want to be the best at hula hooping and find the only way to resolve their conflict. A hula hooping competition. This fun book ends with a surprising twist that makes the book even better and more enjoyable than it already was. I would recommend this book to any student in kindergarten to second grade who wants a fun read.
