Grandparents and Special Friends day

Grandparents and Special Friends Day is an annual event here at St. Philip, where students can invite their grandparents/special friends to participate in activities, attend may Crowning, and eat baked sweets. First, the Grandparents/special friends come to the classroom, before everyone travels to the May Crowning together. After May Crowning, there is a bake sale in the courtyard, hosted by 7th grade. The sweets featured are brownies, cookies, large cakes and more, all baked by the 7th grade. After the bake sale, everyone goes to the classrooms to do fun activities with their grandparents/special friends. Such activities include bingo, crossword puzzles, word searches, crafts, and much more. The day is finished with early dismissal, where many of the grandparents and special friends go out to lunch. Grandparents and Special Friends Day is a fun experience for grandparents, friends, and students alike, and a great way to introduce the school and to grandparents and special friends!
