The new fall 2018 speech and debate team is getting ready for their tournament. The tournament will be held at St. Philip the Apostle in Holy Angel Hall. The first round of debate will be on November 29. The final round of debate and the speech tournament will be held on November 30. This tournament’s debate resolution will be: Athletes should stand during the United States national anthem. The categories for the speech will be storytelling, poetry, duo interpretation, and dramatic interpretation. Maria Boutros and Anna Kingston will be doing duo interpretation. Madeleine Schnieders will be doing poetry. Patrick Maroun will be doing storytelling. Clare Kvochak will be doing storytelling. These are just a few out of the many participants in speech at St. Philip. A few students at St. Philip that will be participating in debate will be Madison Chase and Madison Gurbe and Joe Campagna and Carsten Schmid.
