Cooking: Tres Leches
tres leches cake
Ingredients:
- One box of Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup oil
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 juiced orange
- 1 ½ zested oranges
Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- ½ tablespoon of vanilla extract
- ¼ cup sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease a 13×9 inch pan
- Make the cake batter add the water, oil, eggs, and add the orange juice and 1 zested orange
- Then add the batter to the pan and bake for 30 min
- Next, let cool for 3 hours before you pour the milk mixture
- To make the milk mixture combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream by whisking together
- When done with that pour the mixture over the top of the cake and let it soak for three hours
- While you are waiting for that, you can make the whipped cream by pouring the vanilla, sugar, and heavy cream into an electric mixer and whipping until fluffy texture
- Lastly, put the whipped cream on top of the cake and smooth it down and top it off with the last half of the zested orange
