In the summer it can get really hot especially in LA, so I am going to tell you what I think the top five ice cream places in LA are.

1. Salt & Straw

Salt and Straw is a small ice cream store in Larchmont and they have one in Downtown Disney. They sell classic homemade ice cream with unique flavors. They like to bring back all the old flavors like sea salt with caramel ribbons and honey lavender.

1. McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream

McConnell’s likes to bring new flavors that you probably have never seen before. They like to make different things like chocolate covered strawberry and banana salted caramel. Even though these flavors may sound weird they taste great.

1. Mother Moo Creamery

Mother Moo’s uses all natural ingredients and flavors to get the best tasting ice cream and no matter when you go they always have new flavors to try, and they also like to accommodate others by having dairy-free options like sorbets and popsicles.

1. 21 Choices

Has some of the best ice cream choices, but they have the best shakes. They have many choices and different combinations. You can choose your base of ice cream and the things you want in it or you can just choose the menu items.

1. Carmela Ice Cream

Carmela’s is a lot like Mother Moo’s, they both use natural ingredients, but one thing Carmela’s does great is making seasonal flavors. They don’t just stick to basic flavors they add more summery flavors in the summer and different flavors in the fall, winter, and spring.

There are many different shops to go to throughout all of LA these are just the best places in my opinion and where I would go on a HOT summer day.
