Chinese New Year 2023: The Year of the Rabbit
For this upcoming Chinese New Year, 2023 is the year of the Rabbit, starting from January 2, 2023, and ending on February 4, 2024, Chinese New Year’s Eve.
This year is to be a year of hope.
The sign of the rabbit is a symbol of longevity, prosperity and peace in Chinese culture. It is the fourth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle. All 12 zodiac signs in order are the following: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. People born in the years of 2023, 2011,1999,1987,1975, 1963 and so on are most likely to be a Rabbit, or possibly a Tiger if you were born earlier in those years (most likely around January, or possibly February). People that are born in the year of the Rabbit are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded, and ingenious, but these aren’t the only traits of being a “Rabbit.”
In Chinese culture, there are five elements for each zodiac animal: Wood, Fire, Earth, Gold and Water. Each one of these traits in the Chinese Five-Element Theory can determine your characteristics. Wood rabbits are quick-witted and clever, Fire being broad-minded and smart, Earth being frank and straightforward, and Gold being kind-hearted and conservative. This year is the Water Rabbit, meaning that anyone born this year is considered to be gentle and good-natured.
For anyone celebrating, Happy Chinese New Year.
Have a great year filled with hope and prosperity!

Such a great year to have a birthday. I think that I am a rat.
