7th: Switching from 5th grade to junior high can be stressful. Having new teachers, classrooms, and even new classmates makes it a nerve-wracking experience. This school year has been going on for a while so let’s figure out how the 6th graders feel about the change. Most of the interviewed people were astonished at the increased amount of homework. Some people think they should’ve gotten more preparation for the new experiences. However, some others think that the school year is greater than last year. Most people were sad and surprised about the change but some think that the change was better.
8th: For most junior high students, 8th grade tends to be filled with excitement, anxiety, and cheerfulness, about moving up to high school. The people I interviewed expressed mixed feelings about the new school year. Some expressed their worries that this year would be a lot harder, especially regarding the more difficult subjects. Others felt that the school year was off to an amazing start, and many people expressed thanks towards their new classes and teachers. A few students mentioned that they were ready for the challenge. The excitement of moving up a grade seems to have balanced out the worries about tougher classes and the transition to high school.
