Monday the 11th was Veterans Day. Though it is an important US holiday, many people don’t really know what it is. 

Veterans day is a day reserved to honor veterans who served in the military. It’s a day to reflect on and be grateful for their services to our country. It helps us recognize the unsung heroes of America.

There are many different ways that you can salute these fighters. You could send thank you letters, care packages, or handmade gifts to a veteran that you know. You could visit a museum to learn about some of the wars that Americans bravely served in. You could even donate to an organization that supports veterans, and so much more.

This is an important holiday because this is how we show the men and women who are fighting with their lives on the line to protect our country that they earned appreciation and celebration because of their hard work, determination, bravery, and love for this country
