The Christian service day was on Wednesday, November 13th! The whole school did so many activities to help those in need. The 7th graders went to two places. Most of the 7th grade went to Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, and the rest went to the Pasadena Senior Center.
The students who went to Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy walked around the conservatory and learned about native plants then were assigned to different groups and each group had a different job. The first job was to spread seeds around the conservatory. The second job was taking buckets of water to water the plants. The third job was taking and spreading mulch around the conservation area. The fourth job was to throw rocks into a ditch to help the rainwater flow into the aquifers to help the community.
The students who went to the Pasadena Senior Center were split into groups. One group went to help sell donations, one group helped put together lunches for the seniors, and another made coffee and tea. Everyone also helped carry things and talked to the seniors.
Overall all the students helped out and had a great time. It’s good to give to the community and it’s fun too!
