New "Bring Me the Horizon" Album

Bring Me the Horizon, the world’s biggest metalcore band, has just released their 9th album this summer. Titled ‘Lo–files’, this album was released on July 11th and sees Bring Me the Horizon make a 180-degree pivot from their usual metal sound. This album recreates 23 Bring Me the Horizon hits as chill, lo-fi music. Critics praised this album for its unique and soothing sound, as well as its collaboration with many of Bring Me the Horizon’s favorite lo-fi artists, including Casiio, Lophiile, Kanisan, Mondo Loops, Dimension 32, and HM Surf.

Bring Me the Horizon’s singer, Oli Sykes, described the album as “utility music,” and he explained how they created it for calmness, peace, and relaxation. The album uses a wide array of different instruments, including synthesizers and drum machines. While the official time taken to make the album has not been released, people say it took no more than a few months due to them just turning their songs lo-fi. ‘Lo-files’ is available on Spotify and Apple Music if you want to listen to it. The album is perfect for studying or doing homework. I personally really enjoy this album and hope you do too.
