After seeing Animal Club, the first club created for students by students, flourish, the founders of Writing Club, Abigail Garant and Camille Kinderman, wanted to share their love of writing with everyone. So, they chose to take a page out of Alexa Ho’s and Mia Garcia’s book and start a club about writing that is open to all students.
This club is all about creative writing, whether it is poetry, script writing, or story writing. If you have ever felt that you had a story to tell but you didn’t know how to tell it? Then this club is for you! Even if you’re not an experienced writer, you don’t have to worry! Everyone means everyone! It doesn’t matter if you’re J.K. Rowling (but if you are J.K. Rowling, please tell them, they want your autograph) or just starting out! In fact, this club offers writing workshops for anyone who wants to better develop their creative writing skills.
This club meets during Thursday lunch time and starts in Mrs. Medina’s classroom
Now it’s time for an interview with one of its members!
Interviewer: Why did you join the Writing Club?
Answer: I joined because I wanted to hear others ideas and write my own ideas
Interviewer: What is something fun about writing in writing club?
Answer: Watching my stories come to life
Interviewer: Who would you recommend writing to?
Answer: Someone creative with a lot of good story ideas
Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to add?
Answer: It’s really fun and I really like it. It makes me happy and I look forward to it
There you have it! Writing Club has raving reviews and a lot of fun. If there are any questions, come in on Thursday and ask! Camille and Abby hope to see you there!
