Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens
Star Wars the Force Awakens SPOILERS
In Star Wars the Force Awakens, it is revealed that Luke isolated himself. This is because he is mad at himself for failing Ben, or as most know him as, Kylo Ren the son of Han and Leia. Ben was Luke’s prodigy, and Grand Leader Snoke turned him to the dark side. This is what makes Luke isolate himself. The ending of the movie has Rey holding Luke’s first lightsaber out toward him. Robert says, “With this ending it is likely that Luke will not be a sith in the later movies. Luke still being a Jedi is one of the things that I was worried about when Disney is making the movies, because it is Disney the good guys will win because they are good.” Roan says “But technically, this isn’t good evidence because Disney did kill of Han Solo. Han Solo. Disney killed off probably half of the fanbases favorite character.” If they do not make Luke a sith then they are ignoring what canon is left. In episode V, Luke starts down the dark path when he leaves his training with Yoda on Dagobah. Then is episode 6 when Yoda is dying he tells Luke “Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny”. After Disney bought the rights to Star Wars they made the movies, The Clone Wars animated show, and Star Wars Rebels practically the only canon left. Aside from Luke the movie was amazing.
It seems as though Disney is loosely following the expanded universe story. If you know anyone who has not seen it you should tell them to. One last thing, all questions could be answered in Star Wars VIII which comes out May 26th 2017.
