Summer Activities 6-8
It is almost summer! This means no school and a whole lot of time to sleep in. But you might get bored with not doing anything this summer, so here are some ideas to help you keep away the boredom. 1. Summer School – Summer school can help you get a jump on school next year but it can also be fun. Some popular summer school programs are, St. Francis summer school, Loyola summer school, and Mayfield summer school. 2. Summer Camps- Summer camps are another popular option. You can sign up for programs at St. Philip (Camp Falcon) or even at the Rose Bowl. 3. Summer Sports- There are a lot of sports from but here are some to try yourself: Water Polo- I play club water polo through the Rose Bowl and I can tell you without hesitation that it is an extremely fun sport. You can sign up for a free summer program through PHS. The teams are coed so both boys and girls are more than welcome. Swimming- You can sign up for swim lessons or swim team through the Rose Bowl or you can join a club. It is good to have a review every once and awhile no matter if you are just learning to swim or an experienced swimmer. Basketball- Summer basketball is very recreational and usually pretty fun. You can sign up through the YMCA or Brotherhood, but it is a little too late to sign up this summer. I hope all of you have fun and try some new things this summer.
