Clown Sightings
Recently in the Eastern United states, there have been multiple clown sightings. These clowns are not the friendly kind however, they seek to harm people. Some armed clowns have been following people in videos released on Twitter. Some famous examples of clown sightings have been at Merrimack College or in the neighborhood in Virginia, Arkansas, Washington, Wisconsin, Kansas, and in many other states. The epidemic has been spreading to the western side near us in California. However, luckily no reports have been filed yet or any sightings.
These clowns are basically people who dress up as scary clowns to terrorize neighborhoods, create fear, and may try to ‘haunt’ schools. Some clowns have been hiding in the woods and trying to lure kids to them. Even if it is close to Halloween doesn’t mean people should be having this kind of fear and endangerment. Hopefully the clown epidemic will end soon. Meanwhile, be careful of any strangers – run away and find your parent or adult.
I, Vivian, interviewed my aunt who lives in Virginia around the danger of clowns. She lives in a rural place where the houses are far apart and her backyard is literally acres of woodland, so the threat is pretty big. She has heard about the ‘clown’ situation, but the best they can do in Virginia is to take care and report anything suspicious; they can also use security systems.
Some tips are to stay away from suspicious people, and to tell someone immediately. An adult can inform the police and track down the threat. Also don’t forget to stay with your parents when you are somewhere. Keep an eye out and stay safe!
