Franklin’s Thanksgiving by Paulette Bourgeois is fantastic children’s’ book about friends, family, and Thanksgiving.  In the story Franklin’s relatives cannot attend Thanksgiving thus he and his family are sad.  After a while his parents make the best of Thanksgiving but he is still very sad, so when an offer opens up he takes the chance and asks his teacher to come to Thanksgiving. He  accepts, and Franklin starts inviting lots of the people in his town to Thanksgiving. Franklin and his family have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and learn lots about friendship.
