Peacebuilder of the Week: Eli Vranes
This weeks peacebuilder of the week is Eli Vranes. Eli is in kindergarten in Mrs. Aimee’s class. Eli is a very well behaved kindergartener that we can all look up too. Eli got this peacebuilder for a great show of sportsmanship. He told one of his classmates “it doesn’t matter who wins. It’s about having fun”. This shows a lot coming from a kindergartner because even as we get older we don’t always have as good of an attitude about things. Whenever we feel the need to be really competitive, just think about Eli and his great sportsmanship towards his classmates and because of Elis great peacebuilder skills we decided to ask him a few questions.
FF: How did you feel when you got the Peacebuilder award?
Eli: I felt very happy and excited.
FF: What are some ways you can teach others to be a Peacebuilder?
Eli: I can teach people to be nice.
FF: Is this your first Peacebuilder?
Eli: Yes
FF: Who teaches you to be a good Peacebuilder?
Eli: Mrs. Aime and Mrs. Joyce
As you can see Eli is a great example on how all of us should act as a St. Phillips student. As a St. Phillips student we should all be like Eli and always look on the positive side of everything rather than being negative. Just like Eli said “It’s about having fun”.
