Why Quotes Are Important
We always seem to overlook quotes, even though they’re all over the place.
A quote is something someone says that stands out, usually a famous person. But have you ever asked why they were saying it? Most of the time, a quote comes from the person’s past experiences, as if to tell people fast how to make a better choice. Some of my personal favorite quotes are:
- “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. -George Eliot
- “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t”. Bill Nye
- “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” -Anonymous
There are many more, but it would take all day for me to list them because I love quotes. Quotes are so important because they help show meaning in your life, direct you where you want to go, and help you learn from past mistakes so they’re not made again. Promise me one thing: next time you see a quote don’t keep walking. Read it, understand it, and live by it (unless it’s a sad quote then find a happy one). You might even want to make your own!
