Perfect ideas, vibes, and treats to get you in the Christmas spirit! Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus by showing love and kindness to each other! There are many Christmas traditions, some being gifting presents, putting out milk and cookies for Santa, or making a Christmas list for the elf to give to Santa! Even though there are these wonderful traditions sometimes it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit. If you are struggling with being festive this year, or want to be more enthusiastic about Christmas, here are some ways to get you into the Christmas season!
Things involving you home:
- Decorate: Put up a tree, candles, reefs, and hang lights! Putting up all these decorations will get you starting to feel more joy this season!
- Clothing: Put on some cute, cozy christmas pajamas, put on a festive ugly sweater, or even just wear a red scarf! Wearing Christmas clothing on the outside will start to help you feel that Christmas spirit on the inside!
- Music: Put on some festive music like Jingle Bells or Let it Snow! It’s never too late to start listening to some Christmas classics!
- Foods and Drink: Bake some cookies or drink some hot chocolate! It gets pretty cold usually in the winter so a nice cup of hot chocolate and a warm christmas cookie will definitely get you into the spirit whistle making you feel extremely satisfied and cozy!
Activities and Entertainment:
- Watch a movie: Watch some hilarious Christmas movies to start making you feel that sense of happiness in the air this season! Some movies that are great to watch include: Home Alone, Grinch, or Elf!
- Go Outside: Go to festive areas with decorations or cute pop up decorations! Or if your not too interested in the decoration, go visit Christmas markets, see local light displays, go ice skating, or attend a holiday concert (like the jingle-bell)
- Read: Read about Christmas tales and all about the joy christmas has brung to some many people throughout the world and years!
Giving and Kindness:
- Acts of kindness: Donate to a toy drive, or kids who don’t get as many presents as us for Christmas! Volunteer at a shelter, or buy food and hand it out to people who might not have a Christmas Dinner. Overall be kind to everyone, even small acts count!
- Send Cards: Give out cards to your friends or loved ones telling them how grateful you are that they are a part of your life. This is the time to show your love for your family and friends!
Presents and Gifts:
- Give gifts: Give gifts to your friends and family to show you love and support for them! This is a time of giving
- Make a christmas list: We all want something whether that be a new toy or clothing. This is the time to ask Santa nicely for the things you have been wanting! Santa will deliver your gifts because he loves giving back to everyone!
I hope this article helped you get into the festive christmas spirit full of love, kindness, and joy! Have a wonderful winter break, and Christmas!
