After practicing all summer, St. Philip Cross Country will begin with a meet this Sunday, September 14 with a meet at Acot Hills Park near Montecito Heights. The second meet will be held on Saturday, September 20 with the Rose City Classic, which will be at Hahamonga Watershed Park in La Cañada Flintridge. On October 12 will be the CYO invitational, held at  Cerritos Regional Park. On Friday, October 17, the cross country team will run at the Mt. SAC Invitational, in the most mountainous meet of the season.  CYO Championships will be held in Montrose on November 11. The top  finishers in each division at CYO champions will receive an invitation to the CYO meet of champions, held on November 16. Practices are held at Area H of the Rose Bowl on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 6:00 and alternating between Eaton Canyon and the Arroyo Seco on Saturday mornings.

Last year’s Cross Country team had both Boys and Girls Varsity place second, while both the Boys and Girls teams placed third in the B division.
