Movie Review: A Dog’s Purpose
A Dog’s Purpose was released to theaters just at the end of January by Amblin Entertainment, Walden Media, and DreamWorks. Directed by the same filmmaker who helped make Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, this movie really showed Lasse Hallström’s passion for dog tales.
Based on a book written by W. Bruce Cameron, the mantra for the story was that “Every dog happens for a reason.” Find out how this message was shown on the big screen by reading on!
In this #2 box office hit, a committed and loving dog is reincarnated over several decades bringing joy and love into the humans that care for him. As one of his owners grow up into an adult and hits a hard spot in his life, the dog comes back and teaches him the true beauty of living life. This movie is heart-wrenching and especially touching, as all of Hallström’s movies demonstrate.
This movie is a must-see, especially for Valentine’s Day, to rediscover the true meaning of love and how it can be displayed in all forms throughout your life. See A Dog’s Purpose in theaters!
