Billy Benson: My life as a kindergartener Part 2
There were monkey bars, jump ropes and hoola hoops. Wait, I thought all my friends were going to other schools, but there’s Jeffrey. Jeffrey Hill, the 5 year-old with the best cookies on my street. I said hi and we got in line. Our teacher was Miss Rachel. My mom waved goodbye and so did I. I took my backpack and lunch box and went in. My school was big. Big kids waved to me and gave me high fives. My big brother ruffled my hair. I got to my classroom and we sat down. “Hello kids, today we will begin with some free choice.”, said Miss Rachel. Before I knew it, it was time to go home! But then something happened. I got ‘homework’. HOMEWORK! This isn’t ok. I can’t believe I have to do homework. I have to color a picture of a carrot. I don’t like carrots, I like apples. I can’t believe this. What can a kid do to get a break?
