1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

With Dr. Seuss’s birthday (also known as “Read Across America Day”) just around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate to do a Dr. Seuss book review on one of my favorite books by him; 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish.

Like most other Dr. Seuss books, this book is full of kooky rhymes and beautiful drawings, which were done by the man himself, Dr. Seuss (who is also known as Theodor Geisel). This book is a fun way for children to learn how to read, as it follows 2 children learning about fish and other amazing creatures. They learn and befriend many of the creatures they meet, and there is a very happy feeling kept in the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is learning how to read or has read other Dr. Seuss books. This book stays true to the nature of Dr. Seuss, and would be a great bed-time or in-class story.

I would recommend this to the younger grades, but it is a timeless classic. Even if you aren’t in 2nd grade, I am sure it would still be a fun book to read.
