Pet of the Week – Onion
This week’s pet of the week is Onion, an American domestic short hair kitten! Onion is a calico kitten – she is white on her stomach and face, and black and orange on her back. She was rescued and adopted in August 2015 after being found in an abandoned litter of 4. Although sweet with people she knows, she can be very scared when confronting strangers and has been known to hiss! Onion has a deep purr and likes to teethe on plastic toys. She loves to bat at bells and scratch on posts. Beware, because she may destroy furniture although she is strictly trained!
Her favorite food is IAMs kitten food, and she is occasionally given a shred of chicken if she behaving well. She loves the outdoors and will come back if the owner calls to her. Onion is energetic, and will climb up trees! She loves to play and likes hanging toys.
