Throughout the third trimester, eighth grade has read a book that is composed purely of Spanish. The name of the novella is Pobre Ana. The novella is a pretty simple read that covers basic phrases that the students have been learning. The students follow along with their own book as well as a shared audio on google classroom. Every week the students are assessed with oral participation on each chapter. The novella is about a fifteen year old girl named Ana who has many problems. Through the book the reader learns about Ana’s many problems with her family, siblings, and school. Overall eighth grade has enjoyed the book and can’t wait to finish the rest!
