Back to School Night
Back to School Night occurred on September 14, 2016! Kids aren’t required to go because the night really is a syllabus of the year for the parents.
Ms. Scanlan has given a great summary of the event: “Back to School Night is an opportunity for parents to hear from the teachers what we plan on doing this school year, to discuss our curriculum and to go over important class procedures.” Ms. Scanlan has shared our math presentation so that parents that can’t make it on Thursday night will know what was discussed.
It was really a great way for parents to really keep in touch with each student’s education and to address their concerns. On top of that, PlusPortals allow each parent to keep track of grades and future events – school assignments are almost always posted on PlusPortals if you scroll down. The parent teacher conference, which comes later in the school year, also helps individualize each learning experience.
Thank you teachers for consistently doing a great job with St Philip’s top-of-the-line curriculum! We students could never thank you enough for getting us prepared for high school, and getting us prepared for life.
